Best Arena/Skirmish Games for 2-4 Players?

Looking for games with direct combat, tactical positioning, and varied characters. Basically "fighting game: the board game."

Already own: Unmatched (love it), Gloomhaven (more dungeon crawl than arena). What else is out there in the arena/skirmish space?

Mechs vs. Minions is more PvE but the tactical combat is excellent. BattleCON is the closest thing to a fighting game on a table.

Summoner Wars 2nd Edition is exactly what you're describing. Grid-based tactical combat with asymmetric factions. Brilliant at 2p.

If you want something lighter, Dice Throne is a blast. It's Yahtzee meets fighting games and it's way better than it has any right to be.
