Gloomhaven — How Does Advantage Actually Work?

We're 15 scenarios into Gloomhaven and just realized we might be doing Advantage wrong.

When you have Advantage, do you:
A) Draw 2 modifier cards and pick the better one?
B) Draw 2 modifier cards and use the one with the higher modifier?

And what happens if one is a rolling modifier? We've been ignoring rolling modifiers during Advantage draws and I have a bad feeling that's wrong.

You draw 2 and use the better one (A). BUT — if you draw a rolling modifier, you keep drawing until you get a non-rolling card. Then compare the two \

I used a Gloomhaven helper app that handles advantage automatically. Saved me from getting this wrong. Highly recommend digital assistance for modifier decks.

We've definitely been doing this wrong. The rolling modifier interaction is wild. Thanks for the clarification!
