Shelf of Shame Confessions — How Big Is Yours?

COMC (Check Out My Collection) posts always show played, organized shelves. Let's get real.

My shelf of shame: 14 unplayed games. Including Dune: Imperium – Uprising (bought 6 months ago), War of the Ring: Second Edition (8 months), and a Kickstarter I forgot the name of.

I have a buying problem. The dopamine hit of acquiring a new game is stronger than actually learning one. Anyone else in this support group?

22 unplayed games. I counted last week and felt physical pain. I'm on a buying freeze until I play at least 10 of them.

My rule: one in, one out. Collection stays at 40 games max. Painful but it forces me to actually play what I own.

I've accepted my shelf of shame as part of the hobby. Buying games I'll never play IS the hobby. The playing part is a bonus.

6 games. But I feel guilty about every single one. I look at my unplayed copy of Gloomhaven every day with shame.

Zero. I refuse to buy a new game until I've played everything I own at least 3 times. My collection is only 25 games but I know every one intimately.
