The Spiel des Jahres nominations should be announced in a few months. What are your predictions for 2026?

My guesses:

  • SdJ (Game of the Year): Sky Team or Harmonies

  • Kennerspiel (Enthusiast): Slay the Spire: The Board Game or SETI: Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence

  • Kinderspiel (Kids): No idea, I don't play enough kids games


What do you think? Any dark horses?

Sky Team for SdJ is a solid pick. Co-op, accessible, great theme. The jury loves that combination.

Whatever wins, I just hope it brings more people into the hobby. That's the whole point of the award.
