Wingspan automa: actually enjoyable or busywork

I've been chasing a solo night routine that isn't just phone scrolling and Wingspan keeps floating to the top because I already know the rules cold.

Problem is after round two I'm basically an automa accountant. Flip, move eggs, draw bonus, remember the weird priority when ties happen, ugh.

For people who run Wingspan solo a lot: does it get faster mentally or do you just accept the upkeep? I'm not asking for a different game rec — I have Spirit Island for when I want brain melt — I just want to know if the automa eventually feels like part of the puzzle or if it's forever admin.

Also if there's a single misprint or FAQ that makes the automa smoother I'm all ears. I've definitely been playing a rule wrong before and not realized for months.

Automa is fine. Not amazing. If you want wingspan solo just do it, life is short.

I run the european expansion automa deck and its smoother. Base automa felt like accounting homework sometimes ngl

busywork if youre tired, zen if youre in the mood. Solo is a mood game.
